Nabatean Resort is located on a redeveloped coast of Saudi Arabia, set within a powerful landscape where desert, sea, and sky intersect. Conceived as a landmark destination, the project stands among the most ambitious resort developments in the region, transforming the island into a contemporary hospitality environment rooted in its natural and cultural context. The landscape design is a key driver of the project’s identity, drawing inspiration from Nabatean heritage, desert geomorphology, and coastal ecosystems to reshape the island’s terrain and ecological structure. Developed at two complementary scales, the project establishes a strong territorial framework that reconnects the island to its wider natural setting through regenerated shorelines, desert gardens, and landformdriven landscapes, while at a more intimate scale it offers a sequence of exclusive outdoor experiences—oasis courtyards, shaded pathways, and waterfront spaces—designed to provide sensory richness, comfort, and a distinctive sense of place adapted to the island climate.
